I just wanted to add an update to this report. Hardy Alpha2 and subsequent releases contain an updated version of the kernel. You can download and try the new Hardy Heron Alpha release from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/hardy/ . You should now be able to then test the new kernel via the LiveCD. Please note that you can only test Suspend from the LiveCD, not Hibernate. Tero (or anyone with the same hardware) if you can verify if this bug still exists or not and report back your results it would be appreciated.
