Just confirm, My laptop IBM Thinkpad T60 with ATI Mobility Radeon X1300: Kernel 2.6.22-14-generic
1. With ATI restricted driver fglrx 8.37.6, Laptop cannot enter suspend mode. (crescent moon flashing, computer hang up, blank screen)
2. disable ATI restricted driver, xorg has vesa as generic driver, laptop CAN enter suspend mod and resume without problem.
