OK, This bug was resolved for me with adding "acpi_cpufreq" to "/etc/modules" and removing things like
cpufreq_conservative cpufreq_ondemand cpufreq_powersave cpufreq_stats cpufreq_userspace fuse
from this.
I have to state that I don´t run a Woodcrest, but a Intel Core 2 Duo CPU but also was suffering from this bug.
