I'm still getting thsin in gutsy gibbon
I have a fujistu amilo pi1556 with an nvidia geforce go 7600.

I can run X only when I use the vesa driver. When I use the nvidia driver, the screen goes black and i can't do anything but reboot. Booting in to windows vista also gives a black screen, that makes me doubt it's rather a hardware fault.
