Great, fabulous, unbelievable, as of linux-image-2.6.20-16.29 my Vaio VGN-S560P is able to shutdown itself. This at the same time make hibernation work more smoothly, since before I had a hard time figuring out, when hibernation was finished and therefore when I could hit the power button.

There is still a little problem with suspend though, but I will file this at some other point: bug #64817

Whoever fixed this, you are my personal hero!!! Everybody else who filed their machine showing the same symptoms might want to try this latest kernel update and confirm whether or not their problem is fixed as well!
