I tried rebooting with a Dapper install already on the hard drive using kernel 2.6.15-8 and got the following boot errors:
hde: WDC WD 800JB-00FMA0, ATA DISK drive
ide2: I/O resource 0xB402-0xB402 not free.
hde: ERROR, PORTS ALREADY IN USE
ide2 at 0xb800-0xb807,0xb402 on irq 12
ide3: I/O resource 0xA802-0xA802 not free
ide3: ports already in use, skipping probe
