Thanks for the info Doug. I'm not sure either if this is actually an SATA issue
or a problem with the Intel (software?) RAID controller that it's attached to.

For an update to the developers, this problem still occurs with Colony 3 and
daily iso's as recent as 08-27-2005. Interestingly enough, I grabbed the latest
Knoppix DVD just to see what it would do and it ran fine in live mode (using the
fb1024x768 boot option for video) and recognized/mounted my drive and existing
NTFS partition just fine. QTParted also gave me the ability to
resize/repartition the drive, but I haven't done so yet, just because we should
be able to do this in Breezy without relying on another distro for partitioning.
If there's any log files or other data that might be helpful while booted into
Knoppix, let me know and I'll make it available ASAP.
