Comment 0 for bug 1914850

While i am Using Vmware player (open-vm-tools installed), suddenly, the screen start flickering and fully distortion. At this Point, you cant see anything on the VM (because the distortion are so heavy) and the only way to resolve this is to close the VM and start it again until this happens again. At the moment, this happened, the following appears in the dmesg log:

[Fr Feb 5 23:32:21 2021] i915 0000:00:02.0: [drm] Resetting rcs0 for preemption time out
[Fr Feb 5 23:32:21 2021] i915 0000:00:02.0: [drm] vmx-mks[7873] context reset due to GPU hang
[Fr Feb 5 23:32:21 2021] i915 0000:00:02.0: [drm] GPU HANG: ecode 9:1:85dffffb, in vmx-mks [7873]

I can prove, this always appears when the described bug appears.

Before, i'm using also the same setup (OS, Env), but, an other Intel GPU. This did never Happen.
