Bug Description
Binary package hint: linux-generic
With linux-2.6.22-*, if I set a vga mode (with vga=792 for example) in grub (tried with menu.lst and within the boot menu too), the graphical splash screen shows and X works, but there's no virtual consoles (even boot messages don't appear). If I switch to virtual console with Ctrl+Alt+F*, a cursor is blinking in the corner at 640x480 res.
If I switch to linux-2.6.20, everything works as expected.
