Broadcom firmware depends on a number of different factors. Maybe your card requires the proprietary broadcom driver, which we can't ship with the CD?
While doing the installation, have you clicked "Install third-party software" on the first or second screen of the installer? This would enable downloading the driver from the Internet, which however will obviously require a wired connection.
