One more thing, I'd just like to say that this problem was not present in Jaunty. The bug doesn't effect any thing other than the 'smoothness' of log in. It just seems to be a bit of a shame after all the effort put into to the look and feel of the karmic login, that the final stage of the login spoils it a bit. Its still beautiful though!
