My apologies - I'm running Feisty AMD64 with kernel 2.6.20-16-generic. Nautilus version is 2.18.1.

I can definitely replicate this on any partition. I have two drives in my system - my Linux drive and an NTFS drive. In either case, if I open a Nautilus window in any folder on either of those drives and select copy, the status bar immediately changes to that incorrect message.
