Comment 13 for bug 1450068

My system was originally installed as Ubuntu 14.04 and converted to Kubuntu 14.04 by installing the relevant packages (I forget which). After upgrading to 16.04, icons for custom launchers in /home/chaos/.local/share/applications stopped working; where I would expect an icon, there was nothing. This was present in Application Launcher, Application Dashboard, and Quicklaunch.

Applying James Ring's suggestion from comment #9 worked around the problem. Icons are again what I would expect.
