The following process is still running after having entered into kdm:

According to #plymouth on IRC, this should not be the case, and I suspect that this is (part of the reason), why X restarts sometimes after boot, most likely when pressing Enter for the first time (e.g. during entering the login credentials in kdm, or having opened a Konsole and executing a command).
