I installed 9.10 - My broadcom worked fine, but stopped working. This fix will work for most of you.
Go to System>Admin>Software Sources>OtherSoftware and add CD-rom with the install disk in the drive. Then open it up the cd and go to Pool>Restricted>b>bcmwl and install the deb file. Restart the computer and then go to System>Admin>Hardware Drivers and enable the driver. Restart. You should be good to go.
Unfortunately for me it worked perfect the first day. I installed all my updates and everything. shut down the computer and started it back up the next day and all i had was wired internet. I have repeated the process. installed ubuntu over and over again and nothing.
Synaptic shows the bcmwl-kernel-source is installed, but in Hardware Drivers nothing ever shows up.
