Printing was working fine until I upgraded to 12.04 LTS. Now when a print job is sent to the printer it stays in "pending" and never prints. I disconnected the printer, deleted it from the System-Printing list, confirmed that it was removed from all of the LibreOffice programs and Firefox, turned off and restarted my computer and then reconnected my printer. Still doing the same thing. I turned off and restarted the computer again. Before the upgrade, the computer communicated with the printer when turning on and made the printer "warm up" or something. Now it doesn't do that. I also went through the HPLIP debugging process and this report was generated.

Also I'm not a programmer and my knowledge of Ubuntu is slightly more advanced than "newbie". I have used Terminal and Synaptic. If you want me to do something, be very detailed about how and what you want me to do. For example say "Go into Terminal" and then tell me exactly what you want me to type.

P.S. but with all of the HP 1000 not printing problems I found when I Yahoo searched for a solution, I'm hoping you that you figure out what to fix in Ubuntu then distribute a fix to everyone through Update Manager. I found a solution and fuxed this once about 2 or 3 years ago, but I can't find the same pages to try the same fixes.
