As you can see, that patch fixes some little issues within .desktop file, which doesn't follow all Freedesktop.org specifications.
Which test did you do? Can you attach a screenshot please? I've installed the package on jaunty UNR beta, I couldn't have the necessary time for testing it but I can remember well that launcher has been installed fine.
