I just uploaded this change:
 gtk-recordmydesktop (0.3.8-3ubuntu5) natty; urgency=low
 .
   * debian/control: moved python-appindicator from Depends to Recommends to
     avoid dragging in the whole stack on other Ubuntu flavours.
