Bug Description

When evince opens in fullscreen, it automatically switch to «not fullscreen» and resized itself. It's very disturbing because it stays about 1s in fullscreen, then unfullscreen to have a very small window, and the user have to re-maximise it.

Stays to reproduce:
- (compiz enabled)
- launch evince, maximize it and close it
- launch a pdf with another instance of evince

Hmmm, are you sure that's a compiz problem?

It seems that evince do some hypothesis about the window manager, which are not «general».
A bit like for the refresh : https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/210313

It seems to me Rom means "maximized" when he says "full-screen". Rom, is that true?

Yes, "maximized" :)

So, you maximize evince, with full compiz enabled, and the window "un-maximizes" by itself, right? Does this only happen with evince, or also with other programs? Which is your graphics card? What driver are you using with it? Please attach the outputs of lspci and lsmod...
