I can also confirm that running the command "sudo update-grub2" fixes it.

Found linux image: /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.31-3-generic
Found initrd image: /boot/initrd.img-2.6.31-3-generic
Found memtest86+ image: /boot/memtest86+.bin
Found Windows Vista (loader) on /dev/sda1
done

Detected my Windows 7... even though it sees it as Vista.
