I installed Kubuntu today on a machine that has a SATA drive and a regular ATA
drive. I use the SATA drive to boot, but grub was installed on the ATA drive. No
biggy, once i realised this, since you can easily change it in the bios of the
machine, but a simple question or some kind of dialogue box would have been nice.
