Comment 18 for bug 313228

This problem occurs for me only some of the time when I try to shut down. I have zero interest in what is still running, I just want my machine to actually shut down when I tell it to and not make me click some "shut down anyways" button. I, for one, don't like my laptop battery dying just because I didn't think to wait for a SECOND shutdown button to appear.

At the very least, there should be a countdown for shutting down the machine if no action is taken.
