Situation here exactly as dabaxter1950 describes. Gnome-maps used to work fine in Ubuntu 20.04, then since one system update the bug appeared.

Is there anyone working on a solution for Ubuntu 20.04 LTS?

(I am willing to help, I just can't code at all, unfortunately. If someone gives direction, I'd be glad to at least provide some info following it.)
