Bug Description

Binary package hint: fontconfig

Hi all,
 All the manuals of fontconfig

fc-cache
fc-cat
fc-list
fc-match

mentions this line

The fontconfig user’s guide, in HTML format: /usr/share/doc/fontconfig/fontconfig-user.html

Going to the specified location there is nothing, there needs to be a users guide there .

What you are looking for is in /usr/share/doc/fontconfig-config/

But I don't understand this symbolic link mess, either. Why link in every file from /usr/share/doc/fontconfig-config/ to /usr/share/doc/fontconfig/ (and forgetting one) instead of making the directory a symlink if that is what's necessary?

Debian upstream was fixed in 2.5.93-1. IOW, Intrepid and later are not affected by this problem (although the directories still look rather messy)

Thank you for reporting. Closing.
