Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better
Can you check Bug #693353 ? It sound similar with this one.
There is also a suggested workaround.

If the proposed solution does not work in your case , can you please include some logs, relevant to this issue.The minimum information that should be included in a bug report:
$ uname -a > uname-a.log
$ lsb_release -a
$ cat /proc/version_signature > version.log
$ dmesg > dmesg.log
$ sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log

You can use the shell command : apport-collect BUGNUMBER
