Regarding your Bug Summary and Bug Description, "I cannot open McAfee from Ubuntu to run a virus scan" if you are attempting to use the Windows variant (*.exe) you would want to use WINE ->

If you are attempting to use the linux version as per http://www.mcafee.com/us/products/virusscan-enterprise-for-linux.aspx you would want to contact McAfee for support.
