Certain Gtk+-based applications have problems with receiving keystrokes after
the desktop emerges from screensaver or a suspend. Accordingly to at least some
reports, the problems are endemic to Compiz.
Some more observations:
* The problems seem to appear in and after Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala) which has
updated Gtk+ to 2.18.
* Gecko and Eclipse both use Gtk+ in intimate ways, adapting it to their own
toolkits.
