I guess I might be looking at things a little to simple, just because I know the landscape of graphics card driver issues on Linux and can make an informed choice doesn't mean that someone new to Linux does.

However, someone new to Linux shouldn't be installing an alpha or beta release of a Linux OS.

If they were to use a current stable release of the OS they would find the fglrx driver works on the stable version.
