3) What I expected to happen is when I create a .odt file in openoffice writer (please see attached example.odt file) input white dot symbols, and export the file to PDF, both Evince and Adobe Reader for Linux show the same thing.

4) What happened instead is that in Evince, each white dot is an infinity symbol, while Adobe Acrobat for Linux accurately reproduces the white dot.

I've opened example.pdf and I see the infinity symbols in both Evince and Okular, which confirms that this is a problem with Poppler (the PDF backend for Evince and Okular).

I'm using Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" alpha 3, with packages updated to the latest official versions. I also have installed poppler-data. I can see both the black dots and the white dots, but no infinity symbols. Marking as fix released.

I've confirmed that this bug has been fixed in Okular on Maverick.

(Tested with packages okular 4:4.5.0b-0ubuntu3 and libpoppler7 0.14.2.real-0ubuntu1.)
