I dont understand what the problem is with this..

It was reported in December of 2008, its still flagged as new and the importance is still undecided.. Whats the hold up with getting this resolved??

Its been confirmed by more than one person and personally, not being able to burn a CD/DVD is a pretty big deal since it is one of the most basic operations these days.
