I have same bug with Alternate i386 CD of Release Candidate 9.04
Only one IDE DVD-RW NEC ND-3550A

When press Alt + F4 i see this:
Apr 17 21:18:33 in-target: The following NEW packages will be installed
Apr 17 21:18:33 in-target: installation-report

Of course CD is valid and have "installation-report_2.38ubuntu2_all.deb" file in /pool/main/i/
