I can confirm that with Release, too. Same DVDRW drive from NEC (as Master), same problem. Other cddrives work fine. I'm switched the NECdrive to slave (and the other to master) and by using NEC the problem happens again.
Obviously a problem with this NEC DVDRW drive?!
