I forgot to mention that the printer is a remote samba share.

My local printer (Minolta PagePro 1350W) is also broken, as reported in #30282. The errors in these 2 cases are different.

A 3rd printer (at my office) also fails to work, as reported in bug 40991.

So at the momeny CUPS is totally broken for me.
