Cheese does not work at all with my Acer Aspire 9300 (webcam called orbcam or something like that - it's the standard acer webcam). When I take a picture the LED by the webcam goes on but the Cheese window just stays gray the whole time. Moreover, the program freezes ~20-30 seconds later.
Running the program from command line yields the following output when trying to take a picture:
