Promise I won't make any more noise, but Locutus: I can happily report that your PPA boinc-app-seti is now running fine on one of my 12.04 machines, but it needed a reboot to fix the "app_info.xml file doesn't have a usable version of SETI@home Enhanced" error message :-)
