Hello, after rereading about that SETI issue I have to admit that my answer was wrong. Jonathan was right by pointing out that the SETI scientific app seeks older symbolic libraries.
This is the boinc client from Debian Wheezy (testing) and boinc-app-seti just uploaded to sid (unstable). 7.0.27 should work for about everything. 7.0.33 is still in the Debian new queue, with the ftpmaters uncertain if they should let it in because of an uncertain transition to testing in those last freeze days. I am still hoping for it. 7.0.34 is in the git repository for the unfrozen Ubuntu to adopt. Works for me.
