Bug Description
Binary package hint: aptdaemon
Every time I run Synaptic or the Ubuntu installer, the "Running dpkg" appears untranslated. I'm not sure if it is because it is not translatable or because translations are not loaded.
I've noticed it is translated in libapt-pkg in my language, but I believe some of these messages are shown by aptdaemon these days (if not, please feel free to reassign the bug task to the right package).
Thanks.

This seems to be a bug inside of python-apt. The attached test script prints the untranslated status messages to the command line. I can confirm that the strings are correctly translated in Synaptic which directly accesses the c++ API.
