I found a similar problem on my laptop using this chipset:
Audio device: Intel Corporation 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family High Definition Audio Controller (rev 05)
Volume of the internal speakers is good. But when I plug in some speakers, the signal is almost not existent, even with maximum volume settings.
