This is what I did.
First, I installed hda-jack-retask (http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/pulseaudio-discuss/2011-December/012342.html)
Then, I used the command "hda-jack-retask" to open up the console.
I used the first option, overide under 0x14. I also did the same for 0x1b because you said.
It worked after that.
Although the strange thing is that no other option was enabled. Ubuntu had not done anything for me honestly. But thanks to you this problem has finally been solved!
