Same here, HD2600XT AGP card, works ok in windows with official (agp hotfix) drivers, but have been unable to make it work at all in ubuntu 9.04. fglrx installed I only get very, very corrupted colors (talk about color-cycling 16 colors across the 24bit palette...) or nothing at all (x starts, but displays only black screen). Computer is Compaq D310 with i845G chipset.
