Comment 2 for bug 368007

It happened again today after starting up my laptop after a few days of rest (Tuesday, after a Bank Holiday Monday). I strongly suspect either evince or cups is the culprit as it happened while I gave the command to print a pdf. After a reboot printing etc. went fine again.
