If you ask for the package, I don't know if there is a "boot package", but the problem is at boot time.
In my case I finally figured out where the audio clicks come from. It turns out that the boot process is turning off and on the monitor itself. I see the monitor LED go off, and then there is an audio click. Then it goes back on again. It will click like this on the order of 10+ times during the boot process.
The problem began with 17.10. It seems connected to the change from Unity to Gnome.
