Just like the above user Aaron Durland, I'm also using a Dell Inspiron 531s (which is now about 9 years old!) and have just started getting the above error. This is almost certainly related to my recent installation of an SSD disk into this old machine, which has only ever had regular HDDs before. The above workaround mentioned DID work for me, although the bootup sequence from cold isn't as fast as I would have expected after this upgrade.
