Same issue with Dell P2314H on Ubuntu 16.04.

Every now and then when the monitor falls into power saving mode, when I wake it up, it shows a 'entering power saving mode' and blacks out. When I try to access the monitor menu, it says there is no signal, and so does my connected Cintiq. Only a reboot helps.
