Bug Description
The Ubuntu website should contain a comprehensive explanation of the various installation media available, which are supported and which are not, what being supported means, and the methods of obtaining these media.
As far as I know we have the desktop CD, alternate CD, DVD, server CD, minimal CD, and wubi.exe. Maybe there are more, I don't know. I came to know of the existence of the minimal CD quite recently. Then there's the added complication that the desktop and alternate CDs are different for Ubuntu, Kubuntu, etc, but there's only one server CD. The page should give a complete list of these types of installation/

Finally, the page should explain the various "official" methods of obtaining the images over the internet. AFAIK, there's http, ftp, rsync, Bittorrent, Jigdo, and metalink. Maybe there are more, I haven't seen a comprehensive list anywhere. The page should, for example, mention facts like Jigdo not being available for desktop CDs (at least http://
