Bug Description

I've already discussed this on the mailing lists, please see https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-devel-discuss/2008-April/003897.html and https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-doc/2008-April/010794.html so that I don't have to repeat myself.

Very short summary:
The download page for the ISO image - http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/downloading?release=desktop-newest&arch=i386&mirror=http%3A%2F%2Fftp.snt.utwente.nl%2Fpub%2Flinux%2Fubuntu-releases%2F&debug=&download-button= - should contain a link to a page with instructions for installing Ubuntu from a USB flash drive. Such a page is already found on the Ubuntu Wiki - https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/FromUSBStick - but it obviously needs to be rewritten so that easier instructions are given. The idea this that with a link to such a page, instructions for installing from a USb flash drive are easy to find, while they are now 'hidden' on the Wiki in the current situation.

If necessary I'm prepared to help with writing such a page. Is my help required?
