Bug Description

Unity 8 tablet ui is locked to landscape, this gives a very poor user experience as some popular apps such as telegram only work portrait. This means that the user has to contunually rotate the device to suit the ui which makes using the edge gestures very difficult.

This is a design decision, but point noted

As for telegram it should properly support landscape and the side stage. There was just a bug fix to stop it rotating and put it in the side stage at bug #1532806 I reported bug #1533774 to support both modes

What about users prefer to use a tablet in portrait mode or apps make more sense in portrait mode? Locking unity 8 makes it very difficult to use the device as you have to keep rotating it so you have the edge gestures in the correct place.
