I have noticed that unlike on Unity, in Ubuntu Gnome, by default the package "gnome-language-selector" is not installed. However I believe that this package which allows you to change the currently in use language pack, and perform installations and uninstallations of language packs, is an integral part of the system, and one can be lost without it, and not realise how to install it. So I think that it would be really good if this package was installed by default.
