Bug Description

medium: screen
application: Firefox 3.6.8 on Ubuntu 10.04

I'm not sure if it really is a bug, but there is no space between repeated characters "x", "v", "w" in Regular, sizes from 8pt to 18pt. See screenshot.

It may save time to fix bug 658727 at the same time as this bug.

I agree that they touch. The question is whether it actually causes problems in either presentation of readability.

I can see a potential for confusion between 'vv' and 'w' so it might be worth ensuring that the hinting/kerning provides a slight separation between consecutive 'v' characters.
