In letters with YPOGEGRAMMENI, YPOGEGRAMMENI is expected to be under not on the right

Bug Description

Rendered in 24pt Regular

Sample Glyphs:

Description:

From the Greek Extended Unicode block - http://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/U1F00.pdf
letters that have YPOGEGRAMMENI (small 'i' character under the main letter) typically have this 'i' under the main letter rather than on the right of the main letter.

Both UbuntuFontBeta and http://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/U1F00.pdf have the 'ι' on the right instead of under.
However, in Greek fonts such as those from the Greek Font Society (http://greekfontsociety.gr/) the ι is under the main letter.

You can try out the GFS fonts in Ubuntu with

sudo apt-get install ttf-gfs-artemisia ttf-gfs-baskerville ttf-gfs-bodoni-classic ttf-gfs-complutum ttf-gfs-didot ttf-gfs-didot-classic ttf-gfs-gazis ttf-gfs-neohellenic ttf-gfs-olga ttf-gfs-porson ttf-gfs-solomos ttf-gfs-theokritos

(they compare between DejaVu Sans and Ubuntu Font Beta).

I just verified with the latest Ubuntu Font beta that this issue has been fixed.

For characters such as ᾟ in Ubuntu Font, the ι letter is placed exactly under the H.
Before, it was placed on the side of the H.

Simos: just to confirm, the placing of iota under Eta is correct (eg. this /particular/ problem is fully resolved).

Paul: That's right, the placing of the iota under the letter is the typical way of designing the font and what Greeks would consider 'correct'.

Thanks to Bruno for updating this!

Fix Released, although seems to have been missed in the changelogs.

Simos: can you re-check the whole of the Greek Extended block (eg. in 'gucharmap') that the placement is now correct.
